If you were watching Saturday Night Live on Saturday, January 19, you may have seen a familiar face make a cameo!
That’s right – the man, the myth, the legend, Ian Murray! You can see him most days mixing drinks behind the bar at Dram & Draught Raleigh, but coming up you will have a few more chances to drink up his work in the community.

Each night will feature talent from the area in both the culinary and beverage worlds.
If you want to see Ian in action at The Kitchen Raleigh, make sure you stop by on Wednesday, January 30 between 4 and 7 p.m.
35th Annual VAE (Visual Arts Exchange) Gala – Saturday, February 16
A staple in the Raleigh arts scene, VAE is hosting their annual gala on Saturday, February 16, and Ian will be one of the four celebrity bartenders for the evening! In addition to great drinks, there will be several artist performances, activities, tours, food, silent and live auctions, and more. There will be ample seating and cocktail tables spread throughout the venue.
Tickets are $150 and include heavy hors-d’oeuvres, open bar, and a bidder number for the silent and live auction. There are also VIP and sponsorship tickets available. The event is being held in the 180,000+ square foot building that once housed a Kmart department store located at 4300 Fayetteville Road in Raleigh.
VAE is a non-profit creativity incubator, gallery, and artist hub, as well as the force behind SPARKcon. Each year VAE exhibits the work of more than 1,300 artists in 70+ exhibitions and hosts learning + networking experiences to connect the creative community.
