“Dram Grog & Grocery” is open daily from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Greensboro offering wine, growlers of beer, cases of beer, toilet paper and other disposables, produce, ground meat, canned goods, and a variety of other household items that the pop-up grocer is able to source from local and national distributors. Shopping will be limited to four shoppers in at one time with hand sanitizer provided at the door. The existing intensified cleaning procedures that Dram & Draught had already enacted prior to the state-mandated shutdown remain in place – consistent staff handwashing, regular interval and on-demand sanitizing of surfaces, and the like.
Kevin Barrett, Schenck’s co-founder and business partner, notes that the duo envisions this temporary shopping market not only as a way to keep their hospitality employees working during a time that’s adversely impacting so many of their peers but also as a service to the local community that has limited shopping options within short distance for residents. He makes a point to note that they are using a minimal-markup strategy in the pricing of all retail items, enough to pay the team and keep the lights on. Additionally, seniors age 65 and older are eligible for free delivery within five miles – deliveries will be scheduled once daily. Online ordering is available at http://greensboro.dramanddraught.com.
Located on the corner of W Gate City Blvd. and S Eugene St., parking is available on site at Dram & Draught Greensboro.
