Make your dog proud of you, gain some valuable knowledge, and enjoy good whisky, all at the same time! Join us on Monday, June 15, 2020, at 8 p.m. for “Scotchy Paws”. This introduction to Scotch whisky is being hosted by Dram and Draught founder Kevin Barrett. Your donation of $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, or $250 will benefit the SPCA of Wake County.
Dram and Draught will match ALL donations up to $1,000! The class will be an hour-long interactive session, delivered via Google Meet, and recorded in case you are unable to attend or would like to reference the program anytime after. (The link to join virtually will be sent via email after your purchase.)
If you want to follow along in real-time, we recommend having these scotches on hand to taste as you learn.
Glenmorangie 10 Year Old – The Original (Highlands): The Original is the flagship single malt Scotch whisky from the Glemorangie Distillery in the Highlands. Matured in a combination of first-and-second-fill American white oak casks for 10 years, the expression is a benchmark for creamy, approachable single malt.
Ardbeg 10 Year Old (Islay): A phenomenal whisky packing powerful peaty deliciousness, Ardbeg 10 Year Old is a favourite of many whisky lovers around the world. Produced on the Kildalton Coast of Islay, this single malt matures for a decade before being bottled without any chill-filtration.
Auchentoshan Three Wood (Lowland): A Lowland single malt matured in three different casks, namely: Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, bourbon casks, and Oloroso Sherry casks.
After our tasting/discussion, Kevin will be wrapping up with the class with a cocktail demonstration!
